COVID-19 Safety

CT Covid-19 Prevention badge (self-certify)
During this time of the COVID-19 health crisis, it is very important to me to protect, to the best of my ability, myself as a therapist, all of my clients, as well as my family. This can only be done through a collaborative effort on all our parts.

Based on recommendations from the state of CT, the CDC, and professional massage therapy organizations (like ABMP and FSMTB), I have implemented some procedures and guidelines for ensuring your visit is as safe as possible. Please be sure to read the following information and reach out to me if you have any questions.
What you can expect from me...
  • Extensive cleaning and ventilation protocols before seeing clients, between each client, and at the end of the day following the last client
  • Taking care in general - wearing a face covering, washing my hands frequently, maintaining other recommended safety precautions in public situations, limiting my exposure to social gatherings
  • Monitoring my own health and potential risks of exposure and being transparent with you about it
  • Waiving late cancellation fees if you are feeling unwell in any way or experiencing any signs/symptoms of COVID-19

What I ask of you...
  • Reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing any symptoms of feeling unwell, even if you believe it’s not COVID-19
  • Reschedule your appointment if you’ve been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days
  • Wear a face covering for the duration of your visit at my office. If you are unable to do this, I ask that you not schedule an appointment at this time.
  • Limit your risk of exposure in social settings. If you are actively socializing indoors with people you don’t live with and are not wearing masks, attending large events mask-less, and/or eating inside at restaurants, I ask that you not schedule an appointment at this time.
Thank you for understanding and for joining with me in my commitment to making your session as safe as possible for you, for me, and for all of the people we come into contact with in our lives!

What you can expect when you arrive for your appointment*...
  • Call upon arrival and parking (before leaving your car.)
  • Over the phone, I will ask you some questions as part of the COVID-19 pre-screening. Your responses will be documented.
  • Once you’ve been approved to enter, I will meet you at the door. Please have your face covering on (I will have mine on as well). I will also have face coverings available if you need one provided.
  • We will both apply hand sanitizer and then enter the pre-sanitized and pre-ventilated treatment room.
  • I will take and log your temperature with a touch-less thermometer.
  • Although I do ask that conversation be held to a minimum, you should always feel free to speak up as necessary if adjustments need to be made during your session for any reason (pressure, temperature, comfort level, etc.)
*If you are coming from outside the state of CT, please be sure to check travel guidelines for your state as well as for the state of CT before your visit. You can find travel information here:

All clients will be required to submit (online) a General Health Intake and Consent Form, and a COVID-19 Health Intake and Informed Consent Form. These links will be emailed to you and must be submitted before arriving for your first appointment. Clients must also answer pre-screening questions upon arrival for every visit before entering the office. Below you will find a copy of the COVID-19 Consent for Treatment, for your review.
